It has been awhile since we updated what REST INTERNATIONAL MINISTRIES has been doing. The long silence does not mean that we have been inactive; rather we have been operational, but in what I would term a small scale. It is small scale in the sense that we have not done fundraising for “major” projects that involves many people. Very few people have been carrying out the work most recently.
Another reason for the relative silence is that I (Alajemba Unaegbu, the director of REST International Ministries) was involved in full-time church pastoral work for the last five years. Because of time and “conflict of interest” as someone put it, the work had been limited to few projects. But my pastoral work came to an end early this year and so I have more time to focus on the ministries of REST.
Many of you have been wondering what is going on. Others are asking, “When is the next fundraising event?” Others are asking, “What are the needs of REST?”
In this report, I want to brief you on what REST has done in the past, what it has been doing presently, and what its plans for the future are. I will conclude in this newsletter the present pressing need and how you can be part of it.
